During 2020, the COVID-19 virus pandemic has led to unprecedented changes in how people live their lives around the world, and the transport sector, as a ‘derived demand’, has been impacted as much as any other industry. A billion trips have been cancelled, many companies in the transport sector have collapsed and the level of uncertainty around mobility is very high. In this event, Marcus and James are going to explore what is currently happening to transport while Peter will give his perspective on how the situation looks from the perspective of a local bus operator. Our speakers will then look at what this will mean for how we travel in the future, and potential solutions to make transport fit for our changing world.
