Small presentations and taster sessions about the benefits of understanding multicultural and multilanguage business interactions. Sessions to raise awareness of how an understanding of another language and culture can help in a business context. Sessions in Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, Italian, Japanese. Our event is for anyone who feels that having an understanding or knowledge of another language/culture will help them create good working relationships with current/potential business partners. We can offer bespoke Language for Business courses so this may be of interest to businesses that have regular contact with companies abroad. We offer internationally recognised qualifications in Japanese, French and Spanish for people who may be wishing to work further afield.
We will be offering taster sessions in certain languages so the participants will leave knowing a few phrases and cultural references. They will be made aware of the range of courses that Languages at Leicester offer that may be helpful to them currently or in the future- for business or personal growth. Cultural understanding is also important for managers in forming good working relationships and practices with international employees.
